We are deeply disturbed over the rising death toll in Gaza this past day. Israel has a right to defend its borders, but must never use lethal force against unarmed protesters. Hamas also bears much responsibility for the situation in Gaza by mixing armed combatants with peaceful demonstrators and encouraging Gazans to breach the border fence.
Over a period of 18 months, filmmaker Ran Tal (The Garden of Eden, Children of the Sun) observes the daily life of the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. A cast of colourful characters emerge: a singing security guard, the American museum director, the Jerusalemite curator, the Haredi kashrut inspector, custodians, tour guides and visitors as they pass through its doors. We are also given insight into the Museum’s attempts to incorporate Palestinian representation into its collection. Sponsored by JSpaceCanada.
