Please join us to hear Prof. Mohammed Wattad of the Zefat Academic College School of Law in Israel, in conversation with Prof. Mira Sucharov of Carleton University, Ottawa. It will also be an opportunity to participate in a more thorough discussion than our conference could allow. Topics will include

Mohammed Wattad is a legal scholar specializing in international and comparative criminal law, comparative constitutional law, international law and legal issues surrounding war, torture and terrorism. He has written and spoken extensively on societal challenges confronting the Middle East and Israel, including relations between Israel’s Jewish and Arab citizens and Israel’s external relations with surrounding Arab states.
Mira Sucharov is Associate Professor of Political Science at Carleton University in Ottawa. Specializing in Israeli-Palestinian relations and Jewish affairs, she is the author of The International Self: Psychoanalysis and the Search for Israeli-Palestinian Peace (SUNY Press), a regular columnist at the Canadian Jewish News, and a frequent columnist at Haaretz and the Jewish Daily Forward.
