Expanding the Conversation on Peace in the Middle East with Members of Bloor Street United Church and JSpaceCanada at Bloor Street United Church 300 Bloor Street West (Huron and Bloor; closest to St. George subway stop)
As you probably know, last August the United Churchto affirmed a controversial motion supporting a boycott of goods produced in Israeli settlements on the West Bank and in East Jerusalem. Like our community, the UnitedChurch community is not all of one mind on such issues. This May 8 event provides JSpaceCanada with a change to dialogue with one downtown Church — sharing our perspectives and hearing theirs. This event is co-sponsored by the BloorStreetUnitedChurch’s Social Justice Committee and JSpaceCanada. Please join us for this free event; no registration is necessary.
Third in our Foreign Policy Series
Conversations have begun with the office of John Baird, Progressive Conservative MP and Foreign Affairs Minister, as a potential third speaker in our series on Israel, Palestine and the Future of Canada’s Foreign Policy in the Middle East.
Bob Rae (Liberal) and Paul Dewar (NDP) have already spoken — to read what they had to say see the Foreign Policy Series Page of this website.
